Julie Gleason, age 58, of Nicollet, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2022 at Oak Terrace Assisted Living of North Mankato. There will be a Prayer Service held on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 2pm followed by a visitation until 7pm at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato.
Julie Ann, the daughter of James and Joyce (Brecht) Sonnek, was born on October 28, 1964 in Mankato. She graduated from St. Clair High School in 1983 and continued her education at Rasmussen Business College. Julie enjoyed working for Life USA in the Twin Cities for many years before moving back closer to home in 2000 to be near family and friends. On May 21, 2005 she married Bradley Gleason in Nicollet, where they created their home and made many fond memories together. Julie loved baking, gardening, listening to music and spending time with family and friends. She worked most recently at the North Mankato Motor Vehicle Registrar where she finished her career.
Those left to remember her are her husband, Bradley “Boz” Gleason; step daughter, Nichole (Marc) Gleason Steimer; brothers, Scott (Jackie) Sonnek and Troy (Julie) Sonnek; sisters-in-law, Melody (Karl) Weber and Joan (Steve) Michel; brothers-in-law, John (Linda) Gleason, Mark (Cindy) Gleason, and Robert Gleason; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; aunt and uncle, Donna and John Salic; nephew, Lucas Sonnek; and brother-in-law, William Gleason.
Her family and friends will miss her love, kindness and joy, with peace that she is always in our hearts. Her burial will be at Hebron Cemetery at a later date.
