Karie Lynn (Hahn) Jensen, 63 of Lake Washington passed away peacefully at her home.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday October 11, 2024 at St. Paul’ s Lutheran Church in North Mankato. Visitation will be held from 4 – 7 p.m., Thursday at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary and continues one hour before the service at the church Friday. Memorials may be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Karie Jensen was born March 21, 1961 to Kenneth and Yvonne (Beauchene) Hahn in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated from New Berlin Eisenhower. She attended and graduated from Martin Luther College in New Ulm in 1983. Karie was united in marriage to Rory Jensen on June 30, 1984 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Muskego, Wisconsin. She was a proud Special Education teacher for Eagle Lake Elementary for over 15 years.
Her two daughters and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She enjoyed time with them at home and attending their sporting events. She loved Minnesota sports, especially Maverick hockey, despite being born and raised in Wisconsin. Her greatest passion, along with her love for Christ, were her flowers. She spent countless hours tending to her flowers, and was proud of her beautiful blooms.
She is survived by her husband Rory; two daughters, Heather (Matt) Tyree and Ashley (Garett) Rohlfing; grandchildren, Matsyn, Hutsyn, Jentsyn and Mayva Tyree, Max Rohlfing; father Kenneth Hahn; two sisters, Kathy (Duane) Ohland of Beaver Dam, WI and Kris (Jeff) Pautz of Wales, WI; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her mother, Yvonne Hahn.
