Kathleen Hiniker Marti Avina

Kathleen Avina, age 75, of Jeffers, MN, died on November 22, 2023 at Good Samaritan Society in Windom.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary.  Visitation will be on Saturday from 1:00-2:00 p.m., prior to the service at Mankato Mortuary.

Kathy was born on June 30, 1948 in Mankato, MN to Harold and Dolores (Guentzel) Hiniker.  She grew up in North Mankato.  In 1996, Kathy was united in marriage to Joe Avina at Seven Mile Creek. 

Kathy is survived by her husband, Joe; children, Brian (Stacy) Marti, Denise Marti, Monte (Susan) Avina, and Shane (Stacie) Avina; grandchildren, Noah, Ellie, Whitney, Courtney, Ethan, Gavin, and Zoie; and sister, Jan Stewart.  She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Greg Marti; and sister, Jeanne Washa.
