Kathleen (Katie) Marie Roozen

Kathleen “Katie” Roozen, age 92, of Mankato, beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother, died Sunday, November 28, 2021.

Katie was born July 13, 1929 to William and Frances Laven in Mankato, MN. Katie is survived by her daughters, Cynthia (Don) Gosch and Debra Woitas; grandchildren, Angela (Eric) Casteel, Brooks (Kali) Gosch, Emily (Robyn) Gosch, Millicent Lawson, Sean (Madeline) Roozen, Charles Roozen, Bambi Dubke, and Nicole Enge; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and siblings, Patti Preston and Bobby Laven.

Preceded in death by her parents; companion, Glenn Shrieves; son, Charlie Roozen; grandchildren, Jonathon Woitas and Kelly Spielman; siblings, Delores Russell, Bill Laven, and Peter Laven.

From Katie:
“I have finished God’s plan in my life. I am going home to God. At my request, there will be no services. You will have to remember me from when we spoke. I want you to smile when you think of me and share happy memories of our times together. I loved to spend ‘Me’ time with family and friends and gambling at the casinos.”
