Kathryne Marie Auringer, age 75, of Eagle Lake was called into eternal life with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 17, 2022.
Kathryne was born on October 16, 1946 in Grafton, N.D. to Kenneth Frovarp and Bernadine Latulippe. She graduated from Mankato West High School and Rasmussen Business College. On October 24, 1964, Kathryne was united in marriage to Victor Donald Kump and they were blessed with two daughters. After 23 years their marriage ended and Kathy was united in marriage to Dennis Auringer on September 3, 1989.
Kathy was a waitress at G & O Café and Baff’s Café in her earlier years. She worked in manufacturing at Midtex in Mankato and EF Johnson in Waseca. She was an Administrative Assistant for many years with various different organizations, including Crawford and Company, ADM, and the Law Enforcement Center.
Kathy enjoyed crafts, including quilting, painting, and crocheting blankets, doilies and table cloths. She especially enjoyed music and dancing. Kathy was an avid reader, enjoyed fishing, and playing cards and was very talented in Rummy. Kathy was always witty and had a great sense of humor. She always made everyone feel welcome and had a heartfelt generosity toward those in need. Kathy enjoyed being a foster parent and loved those children like her own. She deeply loved her grandchildren and had a special place in her heart for each one.
Kathy is survived by two daughters, Tammy (Ross) Mehlhop of Rochester and Deb (Todd) Dickie of Mankato; foster daughter, Tammy (Paul) Hertzel of Ames, IA; step-children, Tammy (Jeff) Holcomb and Toni Auringer; grandchildren, Jordan Bickell, Brittany Dickie, Zack Dickie, Andy Mehlhop, and Ethan Mehlhop; and great-grandson, Aiden Shelton. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dennis; former husband, Don; step-son, Brian Auringer; and aunt, Connie Weberg.
