Kathy M. Lundgren

Kathy M. Lundgren, age 70, of Mankato, died on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at her home.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 31 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be in Tivoli Cemetery.  Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Kathy was born on July 17, 1949 in St. Peter to Edward Stanley and Dorothy (Teff) Plonske.  She graduated from Le Sueur High School.  On October 24, 1987, Kathy was united in marriage to Duane Lundgren in Nashville, TN.  She worked for many years at Winco in Le Center before retiring from Itron in Waseca.  Kathy volunteered her time at BENCHS.  She loved her kittens and her dogs.  Kathy loved sewing and upholstering, crocheting, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Duane of Mankato; daughter, Kelly (Bryce) Pier of Minneapolis; son, Luke Dunagan of Le Center; grandchildren, Menolly and Brennan Pier of Minneapolis and Destiny Dunagan of Le Center; step-children, Michelle Hamilton (Wayne Swanson) of Le Sueur, Lonny Lundgren and Pam Veith (Keith Spoors) all of Mankato; sister, Margaret Rich of Grand Rapids, MI; and brothers, Lee (Vicki) Plonske of Madison Lake, Stan (Jean) Plonske of Big Lake, and Ralph Plonske of St. Michael.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers-in-law, Ben Rich, Gary Lundgren, and Robert Lundgren; and sister-in-law, Donna (Marv) Passon.
