Kenneth Lee Nordby, age 78 of Mankato, passed away on January 14, 2025 at home, surrounded by family.

Kenneth Lee was born September 27, 1946 in St. Paul to Morris and Bernice (Lee) Nordby. He was raised and attended high school in Fairfax, MN. After high school, he continued his education at the Minnesota School of Business before enlisting in the US Army. Ken was united in marriage to VerJean Borth in Fairfax in 1966, and she accompanied him for his tour of duty in Germany. Upon his honorable discharge, he attended Minnesota State University Mankato, graduating with his bachelor degree. While in school, he worked at Continental Can, Mankato. After graduating, he worked in sales with Quist and Johnson Furniture in Gaylord, and then Homeline Furniture in St. Peter. Later, he became a partner with Jean in her home childcare. Ken enjoyed fishing, playing pool, traveling, camping, watching sports, and was an avid reader. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Left to remember Ken are his wife, Jean; children: Jessica, Justin (Lisa), Matt, and Dan (Amy); nine grandchildren: Tyler, Chase, Makenna, Garett, Kyle, Cyrus, Alisha, Kaiden and Dillon; sister, Janet Egeland; nephew Kevin Egeland, and niece Julie (Dave) Toomey and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law Dave Egeland.
