Kenneth James Treloar, age 88, of Mankato, passed away surrounded by his children on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at New Perspective Senior Living in Mankato.

Memorial Mass will be held at 11am, Monday, December 2, 2024 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Eulogy will begin prior to Mass at 10:50 a.m. and a time of memory sharing will continue during the reception. Burial with full military honors will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Kenneth was born December 27, 1935 to David and Evelyn (Bouressa) Treloar. Ken grew up in a family of horse owners having found his love at an early age for thoroughbreds . Ken graduated high school in 1954 from Renville, Minnesota and also helped lead Renville to the 1954 men’s state basketball tournament. He enlisted in the U.S Navy on September 23, 1954 and completed his reserve obligation on September 22, 1962. On February 11, 1961, Ken was united in marriage to Patricia Dolan in Elrosa, MN. 

Ken was the international sales and marketing director for a large computer hardware company, and through that employment, was able to travel the world. Ken also coached all of his children in the Minnetonka Hopkins youth athletic programs. Ken enjoyed the outdoors and traveling with family from Florida to the family cabin in Brainerd. Ken could always be found around a nice campfire, enjoying his favorite cigar. An active member of his church, Ken never hesitated to help someone in need. 

Kenneth is survived by his four children, children, David Treloar, Mary (Larry) Krmpotich, Tom Treloar, and Susie (Casey) Kersten; seven granddaughters, Katie Long, Kristi (Nick) Degen, Macy (Jay) Louricas, Karla (Christopher) Borrecco, Cali Kraemer, Kit (Will) Sonnek, and Allie Kersten; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters-and-brothers-in-law, Jeanne (Mike) Markell and Jim (Mary Kay) Dolan; many nieces and nephews; cousins; and special friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia Treloar; infant daughter; and sisters-in-law, Nancy and Mary Beth.
