Kenny "Spottie" Spotts

Kenny “Spottie” Spotts, age 86, of Mankato, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Oaklawn Rehabilitation Center, Mankato.

Memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, December 22, 2023 at the Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park, Mankato. The service will be livestreamed and available below.

Kenneth was born May 27, 1937 to Emmett and Lena (Fessel) Spotts in Waterville. Kenny graduated from Mankato High School in 1955 and enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was united in marriage to Alice Schwarz on December 19, 1959. Kenneth was previously employed at Aramark Food Services – MSU for over 40 years. He was proud to feed the Minnesota Vikings at the Viking Training Table for over 30 years. Kenny and Alice enjoyed socializing, 14 years of Texas living, and they were legendary members of the Moose Club. He also enjoyed bowling, camping, cooking, and pool league.

He is survived by his daughter, Kelli (Alan) Thielges and children, Tyler and Alissa; daughter in law, Kathy Spotts and children, Aimee and Ashlee; sisters, LeeAnn DeWitte and Carol (Rex) Benjamin; and special friend, Elsie Hedrick.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alice Spotts; son, Kent Spotts; and 2 sisters.
