Larry Jacob Miller, age 76 and lifelong resident of Mankato, died Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato surrounded by his family.



Memorial service will be held at 2:30pm, Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary with visitation starting at 1pm. Military honors will be provided by Mankato Area Veterans Memorial Rifle Squad.

Memorials are preferred to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Larry was born October 2, 1948 in Mankato to Willard and Viola (Schuldt) Miller. After graduating from Mankato High School in 1966, Larry enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on October 30, 1969 in Grand Forks, ND. He completed his reserve obligation and was honorably discharged on August 11, 1975.

Throughout his life, Larry worked at 7up Northland Beverage, managed the St. Clair Municipal Bar, and managed Lawn Pro until retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, playing cards, watching football, visiting the casino, and spending time with friends and family. In his earlier years, Larry was the pitcher for the Happy Chef softball team.

Larry is survived by his wife, Sherry Miller of Mankato; children, Pat (Dawn) Miller of Summerset, SD, Jodie (Dan) Boedigheimer of Colorado Springs, CO, Liza (Andrew Thomas) Wynette of Champaign, IL, and Heather (John) Jenness of New Prague, MN; grandchildren, Jason (Kendra) Boedigheimer of Grandby, CO, Keira Boedigheimer of Fort Collins, CO, Andrew Jenness of New Prague, MN, Alex Jenness of New Prague, MN; siblings, Mike Miller of Mankato and Dennis (Gail) Miller of Mankato; and his loyal yellow lab, Dietz.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Pam Keim.
