Laurice L. Telshaw, age 94, of Mankato, died on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Water’s Edge Assisted Living in Mankato.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the Northview – North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato with the reciting of the Rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
Laurice Leone, the daughter of Floyd and Effie (Van Buren) Strickland, was born on September 28, 1925 in Mankato. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1943 and the Mankato Commercial College. On February 11, 1946, she married Clarence Telshaw Sr. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato. In high school, Laurice worked for Judge Morse and then she was employed by several local attorneys as a legal stenographer. She was also a receptionist at Belgrade United Methodist Church in North Mankato and American Family Insurance in Mankato. Laurice was a member of the Holy Rosary Council of Catholic Women and was on the Mankato High School Class of 1943 Reunion Committee. She enjoyed her golden retrievers and bridge club with her friends.
She is survived by her children, Clarence “Sonny” (Diane) Telshaw Jr. of North Mankato, Julianne (Rick) Gruber of Mankato, Debra Wilson of Alexandria, and Daniel Telshaw of North Mankato; grandchildren, Missy Telshaw, Dusty Telshaw, Jennifer (Eduardo) Ek, Jessica (David) Godek, Ben (Shay) Gruber, Andrea (Jason) Steffen, Damian (Brittany) Gruber, Brianna (Tiffany) Gruber, Ryan Wilson, Jamie Wilson, Matt Wilson (fiancé, Wendy), and Mitch Wilson (special friend, Missy); 17 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister in law, Irma Buckley; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Telshaw, Sr.; stillborn son; grandchildren, Amanda Telshaw and Jamie Telshaw; and great grandson, Eric Godek.
