Leroy Arlyn Lueck

Leroy Arlyn Lueck, age 86, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 14, 2024. 

Leroy was born on January 18, 1938 to Leslie and Marie (Doss) Lueck, the 3^rd child of 7.  He attended Immanuel Lutheran grade school and Mankato High School, graduating in 1956.   After graduation he was employed by the Minnesota Highway Department, retiring in 1993.  

On March 22, 1958, Leroy married Charmain Anne Miller and they shared 62 years together.  He loved traveling with his wife, spending time with family and friends at the lake cabin, driving around the neighborhood in his golf cart visiting with the neighbors, sitting by the campfire, and with chainsaw in hand, cutting up trees and splitting wood.  

Leroy is survived by his three children, Cathy (Steve) Laird, Steve Lueck (Sherri Burnham), and Karen Stevens; 8 grandchildren, Matt (Jess) Laird, Michelle Stevens (Jason Moody), Lindsey (Kylan) Poulson, Teresa (Dan) Morales, Kelly (Stuart) Strusz, Samantha (Travis) Wendland, Breah Lueck, and Afton Lueck; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Alaine Hoffman (Bob Wolfe); brothers, David Lueck and Jerry (Ann) Lueck;  sisters-in-law, Audrey Lueck and Joyce Burkel; special nephew, Jim (Pat) Lueck; and all of their families and many other relatives and friends.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; grandson, Andrew Laird; sister, Helen (Chet) Hrdlicka; brothers, Luverne (Norma) Lueck and Richard Lueck; sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Kenneth) Welch, Shirley (Walter) Shearer; brother-in-law, Roger Burkel; and many other relatives and friends.  

Praise God and thank you all for being a part of his life!

Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.  Visitation will be Thursday, March 21 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at church.  Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.  Memorials are preferred to the donor’s choice.
