Linda Sue Gurney, age 71 of North Mankato died Saturday September 7, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 3 – 5  p.m. Thursday September 12, 2019 at Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary. Private family burial will at Woodland Hills Memorial Park.

Linda Sue Gurney was born February 10, 1948 to Orville and Janice (Stone) Brunick in Yankton, South Dakota. Linda was united in marriage to Stephen Gurney on September 4, 1966 in Gayville, South Dakota. Linda worked all her life in accounting specializing in pharmacies and retail. She also owned and operated her own beauty shop. Linda opened up her house and her heart to anyone that needed help.

Linda’s greatest joy in her life were her grandchildren, camping, and cooking large meals for friends and family.

Linda is survived by her husband of 53 years, Stephen of North Mankato; two children, Reese (Bernadette) Gurney of Oceanside, CA, Sara (Brian) Long of North Mankato; grandchildren, Tony Perry, Rebecca Gurney, Hudson Long and Scout Long; two very special honorary children, Jeri Kay Colemen and Tianka Pharaoh; brother, George (Debbie) Brunick of North Mankato, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by her parents.
