Linda Marie Holman

Linda Marie Holman, age 75, of North Mankato, passed away peacefully at her home on August 22, 2021, from medical complications of congestive heart failure and kidney disease.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Crossview Covenant Church, 2000 Howard Drive West, North Mankato. Visitation will be held at the church prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Linda will be laid to rest next to her loving husband at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Linda was born on April 9, 1946, in Long Beach, California to Samuel and Francis Mallos. She was the oldest of four children. She had three younger brothers, Nicholas, Charles, and Cliff. On December 12, 1965, Linda married the love of her life, Daniel Holman. Shortly thereafter, they started their family in Mason City, IA. They had three daughters, Nikki, Angie, and Carrie. She spent many years as a dedicated mother and homemaker to her young children. Linda was active with her local church and enjoyed working at the nursing home of Good Shephard Health Center as the Activities Director. The family relocated to Mankato, MN in 1984 for an employment opportunity. In 1989, she and Dan started Holman’s Radiator and Car Cleaning, which they operated successfully for many years. They employed many family members and took great pride in the services they provided to the Mankato community. Her greatest love was for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She committed her life to the service of others and shared her faith, strength, and hope. She was passionate and determined about running and exercise. Being involved with local races gave her great joy. Her lasting legacy will be her fierce love for her family and grandchildren. Linda was a beautiful being; she was one of a kind and will forever be in the hearts of those that loved her.

Linda is survived by her children, Nikki Lynn (Wade) Besemer, Angela Marie (Cody) Wood and Carrie Ann (Adam) Leggett; 14 grandchildren, Samantha Besemer, Danielle Genelin, Jordan Besemer, Rachel (Alex) Resner, Gabrielle Genelin, Nicholas Bode, Samuel Genelin, Hannah Thorson, Levi Thorson, Makayla Thorson, Ella Wood, Daniel Bode, Sauner Wood and Benjamin Leggett; 3 great-grandchildren, Oliver Everett, Quinn Rasmusson, and Theodore Genelin; and siblings, Nicholas (Christine) Mallos, Charles Mallos, and Cliff (Claudia) Nelson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Holman; father, Samuel Mallos; and mother, Francis Nelson.
