Linus Paul Krahling, age 87, of Lake Crystal, died Tuesday, April 28, 2020 in Arizona.

Linus was born October 2, 1932, to Bernadine (Fettes) and George Krahling in Ashton, Iowa. He grew up farming with his family in Iowa and they later moved to Minnesota. He was the third of six children. He went to high school and Morris Ag School. Linus served in the U.S. Army-Korean War from 1953-55. After returning he worked at Continental Can and later owned the Lake Crystal Drive-in. He was united in marriage to Carol L. Lloyd on April 27, 1957 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Lake Crystal. His passion was farming and he farmed all his life as well as selling crop insurance. Linus was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church serving as an usher, distributing communion, and a member of the Men’s Club. He was a Red Cross blood donor and a proud Legion member eating breakfast with his friends there daily.
Linus is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carol; daughter, Cindy (Darrell) Ehlers and children, Adam (Emily) Ehlers and Amy (Matt) Schroepfer; son, James (Mary) Krahling and children, Cortney (Ben) Majhor, Dylan (Michelle) Krahling, and Sam (Hillary) Krahling; daughter, Laurie (Steve) Seifert and children, Taylor (Carter) Seifert and Carson Seifert; great-grandchildren, Thomas and Adeline Schroepfer and Aria Majhor; sister, Imogene Hoff of Maple Grove, MN; brother, Doyle Krahling of Foley, MN; brother-in-law, Dean Miley of Dayton, MN; sister-in-law and brother in-law, Judy and Bob Schroeder of Lake Crystal, MN; sister-in-law, Judy Lloyd Svec (Ron) of Austin, MN; sister-in-law, Doris Hanson; aunt, Janie Krahling of George, IA; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Linus was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Les and Leona Lloyd; sisters, Ivalee Hanson and Lily Miley; brother, Daryl Krahling; brothers-in-law Leonard Hanson, Arthur “Art” Hoff, and William “Bill” Lloyd.
