Lise Elizabeth Cote (Cayer) lost her battle with dementia, with her granddaughter, Trina, by her side, on January 16th, 2020.
Lise was born in Montreal, Canada on May 11, 1931. She met and later married Roger Cote and together they had two sons, Max and Nico. The Cote family moved to the United States in 1971 where they eventually settled in West Des Moines, Iowa. Lise resided in West Des Moines, IA until 2015 when she moved to Mankato, MN to be closer to family.
Lise was a devout Catholic and she loved her family more than anything. Lise worked for Amoco/Standard Oil as a Credit Processor for 15 years. She enjoyed shopping, music, dancing, and traveling. Lise valued time with friends and family and was a member of the French Alliance of Des Moines. She was a humorous, kind, and beautiful soul who always wore a smile and a pin on her lapel.
Lise is preceded in death by her husband, Roger; and son, Nicholas.
Lise is survived by her eldest son, Max (Brenda) Cote; grandchildren, Catrina (James) Dickinson and Alexis Cote; and great-grandchildren, Bianca, Kiah, Nautica, Max, and Gemma.
A celebration of life is being held on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2020 at 11 AM at the Mankato Mortuary.
