Lloyd Clayton Ostberg, age 76, of St. James, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter. 

Private graveside service will be held at 12 noon Friday, November 1, 2024 at East Sveadahl Cemetery in St. James. Full military honors will be provided. Please share a memory of Lloyd with his family and watch his service livestreamed at www.mankatomortuary.com. Lloyd was born March 13, 1948 in St. James to Clayton and Frances (Forsyth) Ostberg. He graduated from St. James High School in 1966 and was drafted in the military at age 19. After being discharged, he studied at Mankato Vocational/Technical School. Lloyd worked in the taconite mines in Hibbing for over 30 years. He had a passion for fixing cars and going to the races.

Lloyd is survived by his siblings, Charles Ostberg (Chris Sames) of Nisswa, Carol Leonard (Frank) of Bellaire, MI, Donald Ostberg of Amboy, Joyce Roust (Gerald) of North Mankato, and Elaine Brady (Michael) of Cape Coral, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved cats.
