Loren Dubke

Loren Arthur Dubke passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021 at the age of 94, in his hometown of North Mankato.

Loren was born on January 25, 1927 and was the son of Carl and Bernice (Huntress) Dubke.  He went to Mankato High School and was married to his wonderful wife, Elda (Bulow) Dubke on January 8, 1949.  Loren worked at Automatic Electric (MidTex) for 39 years and continued to work in purchasing until he retired in the late 80’s.  He was an avid collector of stamps and coins, and enjoyed building radio controlled model airplanes, fishing, boating, and watching the Minnesota Twins and the Vikings.

Loren is survived by his wonderful wife, Elda; their five children, Joe (Linda) Dubke of Fairmont, Janet (Dennis) Geiszler of Moorhead, Gary (Bambi) Dubke of North Mankato, Sharon (David) Hanson of St. Louis Park, and Karon Dubke of North Mankato; two grandchildren, Stephanie (Marc) Peterson and Madeline Dubke; a great-grandson, Asher Peterson; and many loving nieces,  nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Lorraine Spotts and Karla Juberien.

A funeral service has been scheduled for 1:30 pm on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Dr., in North Mankato with visitation beginning at 12:30 pm.  Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Mankato.  Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church or donor’s choice.
