Lori Ann Huls

Lori Ann Huls, age 56, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 8, 2019 in Lake Crystal. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11a.m., Friday, September 13, 2019 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Lake Crystal with visitation two hours prior at the church. Burial will take place at a later date. Lake Crystal Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.  

Lori was born on January 19, 1963 to Jeanette and Ervin Theisen in St. Cloud MN. She was baptized at St. Mary’s church in St. Cloud, MN on January 27^th 1963. Lori Graduated from St. Cloud Technical High School  in 1981. She completed some college, receiving a Certificate in Administration. Lori married Ralph Huls on August 11th, 1986.

She worked as a receptionist at Village Green Apartments for approximately 1 year. She worked at Herberger’s in accounts payable for approximately 10 years. She worked at L.C.W.M. Secondary School in accounts payable for 18 ½ years. Lori was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Lake Crystal, MN.

Lori was a selfless person and she always put others before herself. She supported her family in every way she could. Her and the family dog, Tony, were inseparable. She loved the outdoors and planting flowers in the summertime. She loved going to the family cabin in Cold Spring, MN. Holidays held a special place in her heart. She loved passing out candy and seeing the kids in their costumes on Halloween. She loved getting together and spending time with family on Thanksgiving. Christmas was, by far, her favorite Holiday. Every Thanksgiving weekend, she would set up the Christmas tree. She would spend the rest of the weekend decorating. The only thing she wanted help with was putting the tree in its spot, because she was very meticulous and the ornaments had to be properly placed for her liking. She also loved snowmen. Lori was an awesome navigator. She always had a map in her hands to make sure nobody got lost. Lori enjoyed traveling to different states with unique places to see. After her last family trip to San Diego, that was all she could talk about. She really enjoyed going to the San Diego Zoo and SeaWorld. She enjoyed listening to country music. Lori had a very warm heart. She liked to keep in touch with old friends and she loved spending time with family and her grandkids. Lori will be deeply missed by many.

Lori is survived by her husband, Ralph Huls of Lake Crystal, MN; children, Nick (Amanda) Huls of Wadena, MN, Brianna Huls of Lake Crystal, MN; grandchildren, Lilian, Owen and Jemma Huls of Wadena, MN; mother, Jeanette Theisen of St. Cloud, MN; mother-in-law, Marjorie Huls of Hutchinson, MN; sisters, Jean (Dean) Loeck, Julie (Don) Walz, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Ervin Theisen and father-in-law, Rudy Henery Huls.
