Louisa A. Smith

Louisa A. Smith, age 85 of Mankato, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. No public services are being held at this time. 

Louisa Ann was born August 6, 1938 in Minneapolis MN to Orville and Eunyce (Johnson) Stokes. She received her Bachelor degree from Hamline University, and her Masters and Doctorate from the University of Minnesota. She was employed at Minnesota State University in Mankato as a professor of English. She loved cats, mystery novels, and all things English. 

Left to remember Louisa are her sons: Howell Smith III and Lance Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents.
