Lucille Agnes Klebel, 101, of Mankato, passed away April 27, 2019 at Monarch Meadows in North Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00a.m., Saturday, May 4, 2019 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Northview-North Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family.
Lucille was born September 13, 1917 to William and Rose (Sporer) Roesch in Lafayette Township, Nicollet County. Lucille married M.A. Pofahl at Holy Rosary Church in North Mankato. Together they had four children, Janice, Karen, Michael, and Suzanne.
Lucille married Martin Klebel in 1977 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Mankato. For many years, they lived on a farm near Good Thunder and attended St. Joseph’s Church in Good Thunder. She worked for Wally Haefner at the Wagon Wheel Café, for the Fredericks brothers at several of their restaurants, and at the restaurant in Brett’s Department Store. Lucille and Martin moved to Gus Johnson Plaza in 1990. In their retirement years, Lucille and Martin enjoyed family activities, dancing, and playing cards.
Lucille is survived by her children, Janice (Dale) Rose, Karen Stiles, and Michael Pofahl; grandchildren, Tammy Rose, Kelly Rose, Mary (Terry) Mundt, R. Clay Stiles, Wil (Molly) Stiles, Jennifer (Michael) Melchoir, Stephanie Pofahl, Nicolette Prohaski, and Alex (Heather) Prohaski; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine Shea; sister-in-law, Patty Roesch; and step-children, Mona Tjosvold, and Fran Kneefe.
She is preceded in death by her husband Martin in 1997; daughter, Suzanne Sherman; sisters, Joan Ziegler, Mildred Enzenauer, Dorothy Funari, and Lorraine Rushing; brother, Raymond Roesch; and step-children, Kathy, Rita, and Robert.
