Lynn Sweet

Lynn Craig Sweet age, 69 of Mankato passed away Saturday August 3, 2024.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Friday, August 9, 2024 at Mankato Mortuary. Visitation is one hour before the service Friday. Burial will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park. 

Lynn was born June 3, 1955 to Donald and Phyllis (Dressel) Sweet in Mankato. Lynn graduated from Wilson Campus in 1974. He worked at Mueller’s as a butcher until the day they closed. For many years Lynn worked at Sweet Living with his brother, Mike. For years he worked at Hilltop Meat Market until they closed. 

Lynn enjoyed hunting, fishing, home improvements, flea markets and casinos.

Lynn is survived by his children, Chad Sweet and Chantel (Chance) Sweet - Derby; grandsons, Evan Sweet and Cole Derby; sister, Karen (Jim) Grzeskowiak of Little Falls; brother, Mike (Tese) Sweet of Mankato; many nieces and nephews. Pat Oftedahl’s children, Crystal Oftedahl of Voyager Village, WI, Christopher Oftedahl of Mankato; Pat’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents; and partner of 38 years, Pat Oftedahl.
