Mabelle Charlotte Larson, 92 of Delavan, passed away November 22, 2019 at the Mapleton Community Home in Mapleton.

Memorial service will be 1:00p.m., Saturday, November 30th, 2019 at the United Church of Mapleton with visitation from 11:00a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Mapleton. Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Mabelle was born March 26, 1927 to Peter and Ruth (Healey) Rue in rural Mapleton. She graduated from Mapleton High School in 1945 and attended Mankato Commercial College. She married Kermit Larson in 1955 in Riverside, California. Mabelle was a homemaker, mother and worked outside the home.

Mabelle was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, was a deacon at the United Church, member of the Red Hat Society, Garden Club, was a church quilter, volunteered at the Mapleton Community Home, delivered Meals on Wheels, and attended Bible Study. She enjoyed square dancing, quilting, doing handy work, hosting family events, baking rolls for church, gardening, and was an avid reader.

Mabelle is survived by her son, Denton (Lisa) Larson of Arlington, Minnesota; step-grandchildren, John Livingston, Megan (Stephen) Dyess, and Sara Livingston; 3 step great-grandchildren; sister, LouisaBelle Shuck; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Schulte, Donna Torell, Jeanne Hellerich, and Rosetta Larson; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Mabelle was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kermit in 2011; twin sons; brother, John Rue; brothers-in-law, Merlin Larson, Harrold Schulte, Byron Torell and Richard Shuck; nephews, Blair Shuck, William Hellerich; and great nephew, Troy Schultz.
