Mara Anne Hoffner was born August 3, 2007, in Vermillion, SD, to Todd and Melodee (Rockwood) Hoffner. She was a vibrant, smart, and tenacious young lady who loved her parents, her sister, brother, and her dog, Maverick, with all of her heart. She greatly enjoyed family time, especially watching the Mankato State football games since she was a baby. She loved downhill skiing, boating, and jet skiing. She was passionate about the outdoors, campfires, and especially being on the lake whether it was to the family camper on Madison Lake or in Chetek, WI for the 4th of July Liberty Fest, an extended family tradition each year. Mara was a fierce competitor playing cards with family and friends alike especially at the Hoffner family farm in Esmond, ND. Mara was fun-loving, had a trickster spirit and her bright light brought joy and happiness to everyone she encountered.
