Marcella O'Gara

Marcella “Sally” O’Gara of Mankato, passed away December 15, 2019 at the age of 92.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 23, 2019 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato with visitation one hour prior to the service. A private burial will held at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato at a later date

Sally was born on January 26, 1927 to Clemens and Rose Schwegman in Meire Grove, Minnesota. She lived in Mankato and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for 54 years. Her family was very special to her and she enjoyed all their accomplishments. Sally was a constant source of compassion and strength to all. Hers was a spirit of love and she shared it abundantly with all who knew her.

Sally is survived by her children, Nancy (Fred) Vogel of St. Peter, Peggy (Joe) Bullyan of Hermantown, Minnesota, and son, Patrick (Linda) O’Gara of Salem, South Carolina; son-in-law, John Fairchild of St. Cloud; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Schwegman and Emily Schwegman; seven grandchildren, Kristin Dehrkoop, Megan Vogel, Kelli Johnson, Vanessa O’Gara, Corissa O’Gara, Katie Milham, and Michael Fairchild; and three great-grandchildren, Cooper and Ava Milham, and M. J. Fairchild.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; daughter, Judy; brothers and sisters, Marina Proell, Clarence Schwegman, Evelyn Botz, Lillian Larson, Raymond Schwegman, and Donald Schwegman.
