Celebrate the life of Margaret Ann Allen (Hendrix) age 68 of Kasota, MN. Margaret passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Laurel’s Peak Rehabilitation Center in Mankato, She was born to Calvin and Jessie Loreda (Griffith) Hendrix on December 5, 1950 in Fort Hood, TX.
With her dad serving in the military, she was able to travel all over the country. She loved her job at Gustavus Adolphus College of 30 years where she worked in the cafeteria. She acted as a second mom to all the of college students she came into contact with, as they were far away from their families. She enjoyed reading and a little gardening, especially in the spring. Most of all, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by her two sons, Jason Allen of Kasota and Jesse (Rachel) Allen of Kasota; two grandchildren, Thea Allen (Zach Moehrke) of Mankato and Eliana Allen; one great grandson, Jayden Allen; one sister, Barbara (Uncle Harry) Cousins of St. Peter; one brother, Harold Hendrix of Mankato; and many nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Larry Hendrix and Carl Hendrix; and nephew, Dustin Allen.
Margaret will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
A celebration of Life Service for Margaret will be held on Monday, December 2, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the New Creation Church off Hwy 169 in North Mankato. A lunch will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, monetary donations would be greatly appreciated.
