Margaret T. Goettlicher

Margaret T. Goettlicher, 96, of North Mankato, died on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Oak Terrace Assisted Living.

Memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Northview – North Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Margaret Theresa, the daughter of Jacob and Barbara (Bisch) Origas, was born on October 15, 1924 in Mankato. She graduated from Loyola High School. On October 18, 1947, she married Edwin Goettlicher at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. Margaret was a member of the Holy Rosary CCW. She enjoyed canning, gardening, dancing, gambling, and sewing.

She is survived by three sons, Thomas (Betty) Goettlicher, Brad Goettlicher, and William (Barbara) Goettlicher; three grandchildren, Kami (Pete) Welter, Thomas Jr. (Natasha) Goettlicher, and Gina (Cory) Czupka; four great grandchildren, Nicholas Welter, Lindsay Welter, Thomas James Goettlicher, and Jolissa Nelton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edwin in 2009; and siblings, Cecelia (Alfred) Goettlicher, Herbert (Virginia) Origas, John (Shirley) Origas, Joe (Doris) Origas, and Lorraine Origas.

Memorial gifts may be directed to Holy Rosary Catholic Church or donor’s choice.
