Marian Ann Qualset, age 93 of rural Mankato died Saturday October 30, 2021 at Primrose Assisted Living in Mankato.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 Friday, November 5, 2021 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Mankato. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be at Tivoli Cemetery in rural Mankato.
Marian was born April 23, 1928 to John and Grace (Buckholtz) Crowley in Mankato. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1946 and then attended Mankato Commercial College. Marian was united in marriage to Rudolph Qualset on February 2, 1970. She worked at International Harvester until she retired in 1970. She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Mankato, Sons of Norway, and longtime treasurer of Tivoli Cemetery.
Marian was fortunate to live her whole life on the family farm with the help of her family and caring neighbors. She loved the outdoors, feeding birds and gardening.
Marion is survived by her stepson, Bob (Marsha) Qualset of Mankato, stepson-in-law, Joe Strunka of Fairbanks, Alaska, many nieces, and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, stepdaughter, Sue Strunka; stepson, Craig Qualset; sister and brother-in-law, Ivonne (Lawrence) Oachs; brother and sister-in-law, Maurice and Agnes Crowley.
