Marie C. Sanderson

Marie Constance Sanderson, age 78, of North Mankato, died July 10, 2022 at Oak Terrace Assisted Living, North Mankato.

Memorial service will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, July 19 at the Northview - North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato. No visitation but there will be light refreshments immediately following the service. Interment will be at Woodland Hills, Memorial Park, Mankato.

Marie, daughter of Harold A. and Genevieve (Swanson) Sanderson was born February 27, 1944 in Minneapolis. She graduated from Washburn H.S. and the University of Minnesota with a degree in home economics. While employed with Minnegasco she met and married James (Jim) Sanderson and they resided in North Mankato. She worked for several corporations and retired from Meyer and Sons after 25 years of service. Her interests were travel, reading, visits to the family cabin, and her beloved dogs.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; brothers-in-law, Hans Terlinden, Bob and Lloyd Sanderson; and nephew, Scott Sanderson.

Survivors include siblings, Harold C. (Pat) Sanderson and Jeanne (Hans) Terlinden; sisters-in-law, Joy (Bob) Sanderson and Nancy (Lloyd) Sanderson; nieces, Angela (Jason) Mahowald, Holly (David) Hins, Gretchen (Justin) Foster, Jill (Bryan) O’Malley, and Stacy (Richard) Marten; 11 grandnieces; and nephews.

The family expresses special thanks to Tammy Kammerer and staff of Oak Terrace and to Mankato Mayo Hospice and to Doug and Mary Schuldt for the care and kindness shown Marie.
