Marvin Charles Jaeger

Marvin Charles Jaeger, 92, of Mapleton, died September 25, 2021 at Mapleton Community Home.

Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 1, 2021 at St. John Lutheran Church in Mapleton with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Union Cemetery. Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.

Marvin was born January 12, 1929, to Charles and Alma (Schenk) Jaeger in Mapleton. He lived all his life in Mapleton. He graduated from Mapleton High School and farmed with his father and son on the family farm.

On August 19, 1950, Marvin married Donna Jean Kieselbach at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Owatonna. He was a lifetime member of St. John Lutheran Church in Mapleton and served as secretary and treasurer. He also served as president of the Heather Curling Club and was a board member of the Riverside Country Club. In his free time, Marvin enjoyed spending time with family, wintering in Texas, golfing, and curling.

Marvin is survived by his children, Peggy (Doug Snidow) Jaeger, and Brian (Debbie) Jaeger; grandchildren, Lisa (Brian) Doering and Tracy (Josh) Werner; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Abby, Jazzy, and Hadley Doering and Austin Werner; Harlan (Mary) Jaeger; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna Jean; brother, Donald (Jeanne) Jaeger; sister, Ramona (Richard) Steele, and Ramona’s first husband Lester Mueller.
