Mary Ann Greenwald

Mary Ann Greenwald, 70 of Mankato, died March 23, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.

Due to the current circumstances, a memorial service will be held at a later date. Northview-North Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family.

Mary Ann was born April 16, 1949 to Fokko and Catherine (Caspers) Muller in Willmar, Minnesota. She graduated from Clara City High School in 1967. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from South West State in Marshall and Master’s degree in Library Science and Technology from St. Cloud State University. She retired from the Mankato State University Library in 2010. Her pride and joy were her family and in particular her grandsons. She could regularly be found attending their school and sporting activities. Passionate in her religious faith, Mary Ann was active with Hillside Church in Mankato. Mary Ann was known for her outgoing personality, beautiful smile and service to others.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Gary; daughters, Holly (Tom) Schifsky of Andover, Minnesota and Heidi (Andrew Flock) Hagemeyer of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; grandsons, Garrett, Braxton, Keaton, Diego, and Grant; sister-in-law, Bonnie Muller; niece, Stephanie (Adam) Slagter ;and nephew, Todd (Chris) Muller.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leon; and infant brother, James.
