Memorial Mass will be 11:00am Thursday, June 27, 2027 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Mankato with visitation one hour prior.
Mary Jean was born July 30, 1937 in Mankato to John Patrick and Eleanor Grace (Austin) Statham. She graduated from Mankato High in 1955 and continued her education, receiving her certificate as an LPN. She was united in marriage to Raymond Forsyth on February 22, 1958 in St. Peter. When they were blessed with children, Mary stopped working and stayed home to raise her children. She later worked as a cook at the Century Club and as a child care attendant for Mac's Day Care and Trinity Day Care. She was active with the Ladies Circle at Holy Rosary and enjoyed working in the yard, cooking, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She will always be remembered as a caring friend and neighbor.
Left to remember Mary are her children: Kathy Forsyth, Jim (Lori Prail) Forsyth, and John (Trudy) Forsyth; son-in-law, Bill Kittleson; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; brothers: Tom Statham and Bill (Renee) Statham; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry in 2010 and husband Ray in 2019.
The family sends their gratitude to the staff and The Pillars and Moments Hospice for their kindness and care of Mary.
