Mary Alice Thobe

Mary Alice Thobe, age 86, of Mankato died, Friday, March 4, 2022, at Pathstone Living in Mankato.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Mankato Mortuary, 1001 N. Riverfront Drive, Mankato. Visitation will be one hour before service. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato.

Mary Alice was born February 9, 1936, in St. James, Minnesota to Vencel and Lydia B. (Butherius) Schultz. She attended St. James Schools. Mary was united in marriage to Donald R. Thobe in 1958 in St. James and they later divorced. Mary moved to Mankato in 1980 and was employed by MRCI for many years before retiring. Mary enjoyed painting and crafts.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Diana Thobe of Mankato; brother, Donald Schultz of Hutchinson; nieces and nephews, Sue and Randy Kruse, Mike and Patty Schultz, Steve and Michelle Schultz, and extended family.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Dale Thobe in 1985 and Alan Thobe on November 4, 2020; sister-in-law, Elaine Schultz.
