Mary Ellen White

Mary Ellen White, age 72, of Fairmont, formerly of Mankato, died unexpectedly on October 21, 2023 at St. Mary’s in Rochester.

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.  Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Mary was born on July 23, 1951 in St. Clair, MI to Joseph and Joann (Vandenbossche) Beauvais.  She graduated from Holy Cross Catholic School in 1969.  She helped with the Family Greenhouse and family farm before enlisting in the United States Army.  On December 23, 1977, Mary was united in marriage to Jeffrey White.  She worked at Carlson Craft for over 25 years.  Mary enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and volunteering at the Renaissance Festival.  She was close with her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. 

Mary is survived by her husband, Jeffrey; children, David White (Miranda Rosa) and their son, Elijah White and Sherry Gottfried and her children, Mariska Gottfried and Miklos White; and siblings, Judy Beauvais, Karen Raymond, Steven (Ann) Beauvais, and Sally (Bob) Shattuck.  She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Gerald, David, and Richard Beauvais.
