Mavis June Hollenbeck

Mavis June Hollenbeck, age 92, of North Mankato passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 27, 2020 at Messiah Lutheran Church in North Mankato. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Clarkfield Lutheran Cemetery, Clarkfield. Northview-North Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements. Due to COVID-19 proper social distancing and face masks will be required.

Mavis was born on April 1, 1928, in Montevideo, Minnesota, to Conrad and Ingaborg Kittelson. On October 13, 1951, she was married to Robert C. Hollenbeck Jr. at Bergen Lutheran Church, rural Granite Falls. She was an active member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Mavis enjoyed all of her faith and church activities, senior shopping, bazaar crafts, and quilting. Mavis most enjoyed the activities of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Mavis is survived by her sons, Mark Hollenbeck of North Mankato, and David Hollenbeck of Nicollet; two grandsons, Zachary and Matthew of Nicollet; sisters-in-law, Audrey Kalmoe, Ade Lageson, and Lu Hollenbeck; former daughter-in-law, Lisa and her daughter, Elizabeth (John Clobes); great-grandchildren, Keegan, Dayton, Kohan, and Braylee; family friend, Cindi Rodriguez. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son, Kent, and daughter, Linda; brothers, Duane Kittelson and James Lageson.
