Maxine Ann Menefee

Maxine Ann Menefee, age 84, of Mankato, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023. Private Graveside Service will be held at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Northview-North Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Maxine was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 21, 1938. She married her husband, Donald Dale Menefee Sr. on January 29, 1957, in Shelby, Mississippi. Together the two of them had 3 children.

Maxine loved watching the Twins, and Gunsmoke. She was a Master Seamstress, making many gifts for her family and friends. Maxine enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Maxine is survived by her children, Donald D. (Marlene) Menefee, and Donna G. St. John (Rick Raimo); grandchildren, Crystal Davis (Troy Furrer), and Cyndi Kaufman; great-grandchildren, Austyn Menefee (Alivia Peight), Michael Davis, Reily Wilson, Fenixx Menefee, Brayden Davis, Jaydyn Manning, Izzy Kaufman, Hailey Furrer, Meghan and Samantha Kaufman, and Bjorn Bennett; sister-in-law, Barbara Sullivan, as well as many nieces, nephews, friends, and her cat, Lucy.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; son, Mack; grandsons, Chris and Craig Menefee, and brother-in-law, Bill Sullivan.
