Maxine M. Wilde

Maxine Mildred Wilde, age 87, of North Mankato, died Sunday, June 25, 2023.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 29, 2023, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Mankato.  Visitation will be one hour before service at the church on Thursday.  Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Madelia, MN. Northview – North Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Maxine was born March 22, 1936, to Gordon J. and Alice I. (Ullrich) Dewar.  She graduated from Truman High School.  Maxine was united in marriage to Donovan W. Wilde on February 9, 1957, in Madelia.  Maxine was a homemaker for her family.  She worked for Valley News from 1954-57 in Mankato and she later worked for Widen Tool and Stamping in St. Peter from 1974-1994. 

Maxine was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.  She loved to bowl, play cards, dance, and take care of her family.  She enjoyed winters in Arizona and being a finalist on the Price is Right!

Maxine is survived by her three daughters, Lisa (Jon) Peterson of Cheyene, WY, Lori (Gregg) Wenner of North Mankato, and Cathy Hughes of Minnetonka; two granddaughters, Jennifer (Matt) Lahiff and Sarah (Tyler) Leonard all of Cheyenne, WY; step-granddaughter, Staci (Kyle) Holmgren; step-grandson, Travis Wenner; step-greatgranddaughter, Rhyan Holmgren all of St. Peter; sister-in-law, Dolly Kassube of Lewisville; nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don in 1997; brother, Keith; brother-in-law, Herman Kassube; parents-in-law, Walter and Olivia Wilde.
