Michael Clarence Anderson, age 76, of North Mankato, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester, Methodist Campus.

Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary, with visitation from 11:00-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home as well. Northview – North Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Michael was born to Herbert and Violet Anderson on August 19, 1942 in Springfield, MN. He attended Comfrey High School and went on to vocational school to get a degree in tool and die making. After college, he married Barbara Neff on May 27, 1967. His first job after college was with Corochran Bros. He later moved to Mankato and worked at Year-A-Round Corporation and in 2003 was the President of the company. Mike loved lake living as well as lake activities. He was very outgoing and enjoyed conversing with anyone. He was willing to help anyone, and was a wonderful family provider.

Mike is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Thomas (Kelly) Anderson; nephews, Bo (Lynn) Nash, and Buster (Randi) Nash; siblings, Alvin (Sandra) Anderson, and Janet Anderson; brothers-in-law, Stan Stater, and KC (Julie) Neff as well as many nieces and nephews. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Julane Sater.
