Michael Logan Hager passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 16, 2025.

Memorial Service will be held 11:00am Saturday, January 25, 2025 at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Mapleton with visitation an hour prior. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Mapleton. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00pm on Friday, January 24, 2025 at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Mapleton.

Mike was born February 8, 1936 to Logan and Anastasia (Templin) Hager. After school, Mike joined the U.S. Army on April 15, 1954 and served in the Korean Conflict in Newfoundland, serving 2 years. After the service, he was in construction as a dozer operator and a truck driver.

Mike was united in marriage to Patricia Ann (Carey) Hager on November 12, 1957 at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Mapleton, M. They were blessed to have adopted 4 children: Doug, Larry, Maria, and Annette. His family was his pride and joy. Together, they farmed in rural Good Thunder. He was proud to be a farmer and a “Steward of the land.” Eventually, Mike started doing custom farm drainage as a side business. Mike belonged to the MN Land Improvement Contractors Association. Mike served on the cemetery board at St. Joseph in Good Thunder for 20 years and was also a trustee for 10 years. Making maple syrup, cracking walnuts, grilling, and gardening were hobbies of his, as well. The last 10 years of his life, he really enjoyed the outdoors, driving his Ranger around, and doing yard work.

Mike is survived by, his wife, Patricia Hager; 4 children: Doug (Deb) Hager of Good Thunder, MN, Larry (Vesta) Hager of Coeur d’Alene, ID, Maria (Dave) Sanders of Amboy, MN, Annette (Jerry) Birr of Good Thunder, MN. 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Mike is also survived by, his sister, Diane Schweiss, brother- in-law, Ted Wolfe, sister-in-law, Brigette Carey, sister-in-law, Pearl Lantz, sister and brother-in-law, Judy (Butch) Bach, and many nieces and nephews.

Mike is preceded in death by, his parents, Logan and Anastasia Hager, brother, Tom (Helen) Hager, sister, Kay (Fran) Schweiss, sister, Rita Wolfe, and brother-in-law, Raymond Schweiss.
