Michael "Mick" Davis

Michael “Mick” Davis, 84 of Lake Crystal, died November 14, 2019 at his home in Lake Crystal.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Crystal. Visitation will be from 5-8p.m., Friday, November 22, 2019 at Lake Crystal Mortuary with a Masonic service at 6:00p.m. Burial will be at Jerusalem Cemetery in rural Lake Crystal.

Mick was born August 23, 1935 to Willard and Leda (Anderson) Davis in Mankato. He graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1953 and spent two years at the University of Minnesota. He served in the US Army in Korea and after returning home, married Laurel McGrew on July 2, 1961.

Mick was a farmer his entire life. As a member of the First Presbyterian Church, he served as an Elder and Deacon. He was a supervisor for Judson Township and a Crystal Co-op board member. He was also a member of the Bethel Lodge 103 for 58 years.

In his free time, Mick enjoyed all things outdoors, including hunting trips for many years in Wyoming, snowmobiling, and camping trips with family.

He is survived by his wife, Laurel; son Jeffery (Christi) Davis of Lake Crystal; daughters, Katherine (Kevin) Christenson of Hanska and Virginia Darr of Stafford, VA; loving grandchildren, Heidi, Cole, and Samantha Davis, Marcie (Jeff) Blouin, Erin (Chad) Schouweiler, Megan Lindquist, Jessica (Cody) Grant, Zach Christenson, and Rhonda (Kyle) Downes; and cherished great-grandchildren, Jayden, Jayla, and Jayger Blouin, Theodore (T-Boone) Schouweiler, Liam, Jase, and Alice Downes, and Sophie Grant. He is also survived by his brother, John (Connie) Davis; in-laws, Candy Davis, Ruth (Jerry) Pierce, Robert McGrew, Elwin (Alice) McGrew, Alice Siems, Phyllis Purvis, Maurice (Betty Sue) McGrew, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Leda Davis; brother, Douglas; son in-law, Lewis Darr; brothers in-law, Donald Siems, Gary Purvis; sisters in-law, Betty McGrew and Sharon McGrew; and nephew, Jerry Pierce, Jr.
