Mike Corry

James “Mike” Michael Corry, 69 of Mankato, passed away September 7, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Mankato.

A Celebration of Life will be held 10a.m., Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Dr., in North Mankato. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Northview and one hour prior to the service.

Mike was born May 24, 1950 to James and Irene (Przybylski) Corry in Winona, Minnesota. He graduated from Loyola High School in 1968 and served in the US Navy from 1968 to 1972. On October 5, 1990, he married Shelley Schroeder. Together they raised one son, Tim. Mike was employed by Honeymead/CHS and retired after 38 years of service in January of 2019.

In his free time, Mike enjoyed all things outdoors such as fishing and boating; he also enjoyed reading, watching the Vikings, and enjoying a good meal as food was very important to him. Most of all, Mike was known as a wise, strong, and devoted husband and father who will be greatly missed by many.

Mike is survived by his wife, Shelley; son, Tim(Michelle) Corry; special niece, Michele (Rich) Fulkerson; siblings, Vickie (Steve) Harms, Katie(John) VonHolle, and James (Laura) Corry; sisters-in-law, Shirley (Norman) Anderson, and Sherrey Schroeder; brothers-in-law, Fred (Diane) Schroeder, Roger (Nan) Schroeder, and Ron (Renee) Schroeder; godchildren, Derrick Schroeder, Michayla Rasmussen, Janessa Rasmussen, and Landon Odegard; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
