Ode Danberry

Erma “Ode” Leola Danberry, 85, of Janesville, died May 15, 2023 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday. May 27, 2023 at Mankato Mortuary, 1001 N Riverfront Dr., in Mankato with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Mankato.

Ode was born May 2, 1938 to Howard and Lorrene (Williams) Anderson in St. Paul Minnesota. On December 4, 1954, she married Bert Ervin Danberry. Together they raised 8 children.

Ode enjoyed fishing, reading, coloring, country music, BINGO, birdwatching, puzzles, playing with Debra’s dog, Cassie, and especially spending time with family and friends.

Ode is survived by her children, Debra Neegaard, Laura (Joseph) Morgan, Ronald (Janell) Danberry, Colleen (Harold) Sargent, Anita (Bradley) Kelley, Patrick (Vickie) Danberry, Terry (Sharon) Danberry, and Mitchell (Ginger) Danberry; 22 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Gwen Anderson.

Ode was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bert Ervin in 2000; son, Brian Keith; son-in-law, Donald Neegaard; brother, Verle Anderson; and great granddaughter, Tristan Jo Marie Morgan.
