Paul Norman Herzberg

Paul Norman Herzberg died January 14, 2024 in North Mankato, Minnesota at home with family.  

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary.  Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Northview.  In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorials are preferred to any public education charity of your choice or any animal humane society.  Northview-North Mankato Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements. 

Paul was born December 1, 1938 in Albert Lea, Minnesota to Merton and Jean Herzberg.  He attended Wells High School and Mankato State College, graduating in 1960. He was a high school chemistry teacher in Cambridge, Minnesota and later at Mankato West High School where he taught for 35 years.  Paul married Delores Staloch on June 11, 1960.  He was an avid tennis player who also enjoyed music, taking up guitar playing late in life.  He was an avid collector, collecting model trains, coins, stamps, and cars at one time or another.  Paul touched many future doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and engineers through his teaching career, sharing his love of the sciences and a sharp sense of humor.  

Paul is survived by his wife, Delores; children, Tom (grandchildren, Allie, Gabrielle, Kat, and Sam), Susan (grandchildren, Tessa and Sam), and Dave (wife, Michelle, grandchildren, Ava and Isaak).  He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Lisa Hebeisen.
