Paul James Johnson

Paul James Johnson, age 56, of Mankato, died on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.

Paul's Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Hosanna Lutheran Church, Mankato. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Northview – North Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Paul James, the son of Jim and Marleen (Bakken) Johnson, was born on August 17, 1966 in Westbrook. He graduated from Slayton High School in 1985 and completed 2 years at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Paul was united in marriage to Sherry Peters on April 22, 1995 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Mankato. He was previously employed at the family business Amcon and was a service representative for Mankato Ford for over 10 years. Paul was a phenomenal athlete in high school and loved watching sports, especially the Minnesota Vikings. He adored his 3 boys and took great pride in their accomplishments. Paul enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and dog, Tucker.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry; three sons, Chase, Jake and Luke; parents, Jim and Marleen Johnson; and brother, Mike (Heather) Johnson and their children, Molly and Adam.
