RaeNita M. (Toner) Austad

RaeNita Marie Austad, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025, at the age of 86.

Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., January 11, 2025, at Mankato Mortuary, Mankato, MN. Visitation will be from 9:30-11 a.m., Saturday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato, MN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org

RaeNita was born December 29, 1938, to Woodrow C. and Beatrice R. (Farrell) Toner in Waseca. She worked for over 20 years at Onan in St. Peter, MN. She loved to read, play cards, and do crossword puzzles.

RaeNita will forever be missed by her daughter, Karen O’Farrell of Mankato; two sons, David (Sue) Allen of Savage and Mike Allen of Mankato; grandchildren, Ben (Kelly) Sailor, Ashley Sailor, Chris Sailor, Dustin Sailor, Lindsey Allen, and Caden Allen; brothers, Robert Toner and Thomas Toner.

RaeNita was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Eugene Allen and Doug Austad; sisters, Pat Toner and JoAnn Olson.
