Randy August Jennings

Randy A. Jennings died at the age of 64 on June 22, 2019 with Melva at his side, at J.A. Wedum Hospice in Brooklyn Park, from complications of Alzheimer’s.

Randy will be remembered in a graveside service on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Eagle Lake Cemetery in Eagle Lake, MN at 10:30am. The service will be followed by a lunch gathering at the American Legion in Eagle Lake. Northview - North Mankato Mortuary is handling the arrangements.

Randy was born on June 25, 1954 in Topeka, KS to James and Arlis (Gens) Jennings. Randy’s family lived in Florida, Japan, and California before settling in Eagle Lake. Randy served in the Army from 1971 - 1974, and was stationed in both Korea and Germany. He was a member of the Steamfitters Pipefitters Local 455 until his retirement.

Randy enjoyed history, participating in Civil War Reenactments, target shooting, the outdoors, his canine buddies, and spending time working around his home in rural Vernon Center.

Randy is survived by his special friend and companion of 20 years, Melva Caven of Eagle Lake; his brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Rita Jennings; niece Alysia Jennings; Grand Niece Lucy, all of Sandia Park, NM; his happily gained family: Brent Caven of Minneapolis; Travis & Angie Caven of Rapidan; Andrea & Eric Deschenes of Maple Grove; Aaron Caven of Dallas, TX; and his two little blondies, Nora & Abigail Caven of Rapidan.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Jim & Arlis; infant sister, Susan; grandparents; and his canine buddies Sandy, Duke and Abby.
