Rebecca "Becki" A. Hawkins

age 70, of Good Thunder, passed away on November 11, 2023.

Funeral Service 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Jackson Lake Lutheran Church, Amboy.  Visitation 4-7 p.m., Friday at Mankato Mortuary and one hour before service at church.  Interment in Jackson Lake Lutheran Cemetery.

Rebecca was born July 31, 1953, to Bennett and Eleanor (Bartlett) Kveen. She grew up in Amboy and graduated from Amboy Good Thunder High School in 1971.  She went to Bemidji State College after high school and met her husband, Gary.  They were married on July 19, 1975, in Amboy.  The lived in many places until settling on her grandparents farm and building the house of their dreams.

Becki loved teaching and taught in some form her entire life.  Her dream job though was Adult Basic Education Supervisor based out of LeSueur for over 20 years.

Becki and Gary enjoyed many trips together, including a cruise for their 25^th wedding anniversary, Florida, the Black Hills, and Alaska.

Becki loved to watch her two children grow up and have families of their own.  She especially loved being around her five grandchildren and they brought much joy to her life.

She will be missed by many people as she could bring a smile to anyone’s face.

Becki is survived by her husband, Gary; daughter, Angela (Mike) Homer; son, David (Jill) Hawkins; grandchildren, Gabriel, Collin, Sebastian, Amelia, and Connor.
