Rene Therese Chamberlain, age 41, of Burnsville, formerly of Mankato, died suddenly, Friday, October 13, 2023.
Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 a.m., Friday, October 20, 2023, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Mankato. Visitation will be from 9-11:30 a.m., Friday at the church. Northview- North Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Rene was born October 23, 1981, to Gary M. and Mary E. (Leech) Chamberlain in Mankato. She graduated from East High School in 2000 and then Metro State University with a double major in Biology and Chemistry. Rene was employed with Target for many years as a pharmacy technician before moving to Health Partners for a couple years.
Rene embraced life to the fullest - going on walks and photographing nature, attending concerts, trying new recipes, getting lost in books, dabbling in poetry, watching and rewatching her favorite shows, and spending time with her family and nephews.
Rene loved nature and being outdoors. She loved traveling, hiking, and going on four-wheeling trips with her partner, Jay. She was an avid reader and die hard Vikings fan. Music was always a strong part of her life. Her talents included singing, playing piano, knitting, writing, and cooking.
Rene will be remembered as a kind hearted, empathetic, independent, smart, funny, and loving person to all.
Rene is survived by her parents, Gary and Mary Chamberlain; sister, Becky (Luke) Sharpe; nephews, godchild, Isaiah and Micah; partner, Jay Plumb; grandmother, Ronnie Leech; godparent, Mike Leech; godchild, Alyssa Betland; her dog, Minnie; aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
Rene was preceded in death by her grandparents, Paul and Bernice Chamberlain, Don Leech; godmother, Jeanne Traxler; and extended family.
