Richard E. LeClerc

Richard “Dick” E. LeClerc, age 83, of Mankato, died July 5, 2023.

A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., August 13, 2023, at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato, reception to follow. Visitation will be one hour before the service.

Memorials may be given to Grace Lutheran Church or the donor’s choice.

Richard was born January 9, 1940, to Edward and Anna (Lussier) LeClerc in Grafton, ND.  He graduated from Grafton High School and then the University of North Dakota.  Dick was an Insurance Claims Investigator in Minneapolis.  Dick and his family moved to Mankato in 1968 and he worked for American Family Insurance until his retirement.   Dick was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where he was an usher, served on the church board, and was coach of the “Amazing Grace” softball team.  Dick was a very social member of the Sertoma Club, YMCA, enjoyed playing racquetball, pickleball, and was on the food rescue for the ECHO Food Shelf.

Dick is survived by his wife, Mary; two children, Tony (Nicki) LeClerc and Kristina LeClerc; two granddaughters, Madeline and Maya; seven siblings, Dennis (Kim), Brian, Shirley, Lucille, Dianne, Marian (Dennis), and Doris; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Anna; brother-in-law, Dick Bonlie; and many extended family members.
