Richard “Rich” Paul Domas, age 78, a beloved father, brother, and friend to many passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024.

Memorial Service will be held at 5 p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m., Saturday at Northview. Family Interment will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park, Mankato. 

Richard was born on July 12, 1946, in Mankato to Orris and Marie (Hennager) Domas. After graduating from Mankato High School in 1967, he bravely served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. His commitment to excellence led him to further his education at Salem College in West Virginia where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1980. Rich started working for the U.S. Postal Service in 1973, he was promoted to Foreman of mails in 1975, then promoted to LSM Supervisor in 1977 and lastly promoted to Postmaster in 1983 where he served in Richwood, WV. 

Rich enjoyed time with family, casinos, watching all sports, and Nascar. He loved watching the Vikings and was hopeful to one day see them win the Superbowl. Also he was hoping to see Trump win the 2024 election.

Rich is survived by his companion of 11 years, Delores “Dee” O’Herin; her three daughters, Denise (Andy) Seys of Mankato, Christine “Chris” (Jeff) Kosak of Dalton, and Shelly (Steve) Williams of Eagan; his daughter, Jennifer “Jenny” Tucker and her companion, Brad James of Charlotte, NC; his grandson, Radley Domas of Bridgeport, WV; his brother, Ron (Jeanne) Domas of Mankato and his two sons, Jeff (Jennifer) of Orlando and Brad of Mankato; his sister-in-law, Jean Domas of Eagle Lake and her three sons, Craig (Gwen) of Duluth, Chris of Mankato, and Corey (Abby) of Madison Lake; and extended family.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Richard P. Domas, Jr; and his brother, Gerald “Jerry” Domas.

Rich’s family would like to give a special thank you to St. Croix Hospice for the care given to Rich.
